Kristen has worked at Centurylink the last 10 years as a Web Hosting Engineer (Middleware). She started as a Websphere Administrator but her role has changed quite a bit since then. She has provided support for one customer that today has over 500 websites globally. To maintain this many sites all needing config changes and code deployments, much of her time has been spent on automation scripts, deployment process/procedures through various tools and documentation. The rule Kristen enforces on my team is now “No manual tasks done on any server”. Every detail of administration must be automated to ensure quick delivery with no human error.
